Considering a standard casual table (4 players), you may get one out of three different buffs whenever it is your upkeep
I don't think new players will be lost, by any means, playing the Amber and Amethyst deck, but there's something very immediate about the Sapphire and Steel deck
This is important because these spells would usually go to the graveyard
The four decks coming back are "Devour for Power" (helmed by The Mimeoplasm), "Built from Scratch" (the Daretti, Scrap Savant deck), "Wade into Battle" (with Kalemne, Disciple of Iroas leading the charge), and "Breed Lethality" (with everyone's favorite proliferator, Atraxa, Praetors' Voice)
A spell or an ability that doesnt target and reduces the toughness of creatures to 0 or less
The problem for these cards is that we've seen the same thing happen in the past only for prices to normalize onces the hype wears off
